she wanted me to think of a creative way to conduct a listening practice for her observation tmr(yes, of all available days, she chose to conduct her observation the SAME day my supervisor is coming for my P2 class's observation!)
so i went to wreck my brains to think of a special way to teach the lesson.
showed her my 1st draft n she told me that the song is too long, i actually used 2 different segments of 2 songs to design my lesson. the whole duration of the 2segments joined together is only abt 2mins n she called that LONG!
oh well, i took her advice n edited the song, making it only ONE song, as requested by her.
i checked with her whether the design of the wkst is ok when i gave her my 1st draft.
n she said:" ya, itz very gd, sth new, gd!"
so i juz went on to edit the music n included some helping words for the kids since they're nt a v strong class.
i worked so hard last night to prepare evyth, set the wkst, edit the song, burn the song on cd, zap the wksts...
n u knw what?!
today when i went to give her the "final draft", she said :"MY SETTING OF THE WKST IS BORING!! GO REDO!!"
i was like WTF!! i went ahead to prepare evyth after she approved of the wkst yday n yet today she's here telling me that my wkst is boring n wants me to redo!
very angry lor... want me to go think of a creative lesson n after telling her my plans then she say this cannot, that cannot, the kids wun be able to do it etc etc...
she really looks down on the kids lor, i'm sure the kids WILL be able to finish my wkst de lor!!
really very pissed off lor... one day say this one day say that.. really dun knw wad she wants?!
i seriously think she DOESNT like me...
similar cases happened during last TA too...
haiz.. am i suay or wad to hv her as my CT??

i'm a truely certified blessed n blissful girl.
i have a EXTREMELY sweet n loving BF who specially wakes up earlier than his routine time, juz to pop by mcdonalds' to get hotcakes as breakfast for me!!
n u know what?!
he drove down all the way from AMK to BP as early as 5.36am to deliver my 爱心早餐 to me and then to send me to school for work, knowing that i hv many things to bring to office today!!
i'm really VERY TOUCHED!!
breakfast today tasted EXTREMELY sweet n nice... kekez..

sat's gone juz like this..
time always flies faster than usual whenever we get to meet up...
sighz~ sometimes i juz hope that time will come to a standstill..
wadever's the case, i had a HAPPY day with baby today.. :)
baby had to go back for class this morning so i headed over to give his cousins tuition first.
baby reached home when i was abt to finish the class with his cousin n i was like so ELATED to c him... i miss him so much so much lor... kekz
well, it was snuggling n snuggling n more snuggling time after having lunch together.
baby knows i wanna watch Mr Bean's Holiday so we went online to book tickets.
wanted to go GV-Bishan to catch the show at first since GV has more comfy seats but we couldnt believe the tickets for most of the tickets were already SOLD OUT!!!! even the night ones... OMG!!! so sadz.. :(
then we turned to the next option, Eng Wah-Jubilee.
checked out their website n luckily for us, the tickets were still available for the 7.30pm show. we immediately booked it w/o hesitation.
we headed to MOS burger for our dinner then went to collect the tickets for the movie.
i got a SHOCK of my life when i saw the queue outside the ticketing counter.
the crowd was horrendous!! never hv i seen so many ppl wanting to watch movies at Jubilee.. heh.. lucky we booked the tickets online, otherwise we sure cant make it in time for the movie de lor... heng ah!~
then i got the 2nd SHOCK for the night when we stepped into the cinema.
couldnt believe my eyes that the cinema was super fully packed!!
wooo.... Mr Bean sure has gr8 attractive powers sia.. haha
as expected, the movie was hilarious... typical Mr Bean kinda show...
*thumbs up* if u're looking for a de-stressing avenue.. :)
we left the cinema after 90mins in a happy mood...
then we rushed to popular to buy some pens n other stationeries, n to Guardian to get some personal stuffs then strolled back to baby's place, hand-in-hand....
at that moment, i secretly wished that we can juz continue to walk n walk n never reach baby's place... but that is impossible la. we reached his place shortly n met his dad at the carpark.
after packing up my stuffs, baby sent me home le...
very 舍不得 to leave but still no choice... :(
but still, i had an enjoyable day with my darling..
now that i've started my practicum, there's lesser time to meet him n i really treasure each wkend with him...
its gg to be TMNT time nxt wkend.. *wInkz*

finally i can get to c my baby... yipEe~~
after a long tiring week slogging in school among all those kids-who-give-u-the headache, the long awaited weekend has finally arrived!!
i came to realise if i plan the whole week's schedule all at one go during the weekend, my weekdays seemed to b less bz n i'll hv more time to mark my books..
guess i'll try to drill n grill myself into doing that every weekend.
gave my P5 spelling today.
was pretty disappointed as i walked around the class during spelling,
a handful of students had many blanks here n there..
i knew i was in for a hard time to mark their books ltr..
n i was RIGHT!
many of the kids could nt make it to the passing mark.
i knew i shouldnt set my goals so high on their first spelling with me since they hv not been performing well all these while.
what touched me was one kid(a boy) came up to me b4 the spelling start n told me : “吴老师，我昨天真的有学你的听写，今天的听写我一定可以拿一百分！”
this boy has some difficulties in learning chinese but yet he can tell me so confidently that he'll score full marks. i was impressed.
n indeed, when i mark his book, he really got FULL MARKS!!
i was so proud of him that i decided to get him sth as a form of reward n encouragement for him.
i knew this class of kids could do it, if only they would put in that extra bit of efforts.
they're definitely nt the "rotten apples" as they're labelled as.
i hv faith in them that they will do well one day..
i hope that i can become the person who can push them to that height... :)
ambitious it might seem, but i'm definitely nt giving up hopes on them!!

i din screw things up but things did not end on a perfect note either.
according to my ct, lesson delivery was pretty gd, clear instructions n explanations.
she mentioned that that is an interesting way to carry out the lesson but i need to polish up on my time control n learn nt to be too ambitious..
n i need to choose a more simple picture nxt time, to make things ez for myself, as wad my ct said.
well, i did not think today's picture was difficult n some kids reflected that it is much easier than previous compos, so what's the problem now?
i haven figure that out.... yet!
nevertheless, i'm glad that 2 ct observations r down, leaving me with 6 more ct observations n 2 sup observation. my sup is coming nxt fri for my P2 class observation n til now i still hv no ideas wad to do for that day. of all days he has to choose fri to come, when fri is basically the day we "pick up" all the undones for the week so wad's there to "perform"? sighz~
itz a tiring day today. on top of having a 6periods straight w/o lunch break, i hv to relief my P2 ct's class coz she's on MC. that adds on another 3periods straight. it would hv added up to 15periods straight til the end of the day if my ex-ct has nt intervened to "save" me... heng man..
my legs were already threatening to break n i smell like shit!! all thanks to running up n down the stairs to get to the classrooms on time.
oh well, i've survived the day n i hope it wun b like this tmr again... *prayz*
this week is coming to an end soon.. one more working day to go b4 i get to snuggle up in my baby's arms again...

my baby's so sweet to come all the way to sch to pick me up from work, simply coz he knows i miss him alot... kekez
anyway, we went to JP, wanted to catch a movie but there was no nice ones showing.
the one that i wanted to watch [Mr Bean's Holiday] haven start showing yet n the one he wanted to watch [TMNT] also haven start so we ended up walking ard JP n i dragged him to PK computer to find the wireless presenter which i hv been looking for n also to buy the colour ink for my printer. i ended up buying a Logitech wireless presenter which costs me $139. very expensive, but i think it shld b quite worth the price since Logitech sounds like a pretty gd computer accessories brand. i was happy to get the presenter but yet sad too coz it burnt a BIG hole in my pocket... this month really quite LEONG liao... lolz..
afterwhich we decided to hv a nice dinner together at the 翡翠 in JP, we took a set meal for 2 which comprises of a cold dish, a dish, a main course n a din sum. we were allowed to choose a dish for every catergory so we chose smoked fish, 宫宝鸡丁, 三鲜炒饭,上海小笼包 n 2 glasses of lemon barley. it was overall a very delicious meal, thou i almost got choked on the fish bones.. but still it was nice.
after the satisfying meal, we headed to West Coast Macs to chit chat.. we love that place since it has free parking n food.. lolz..
yup, it was really a nice evening spent with baby... n time juz seems to fly whenever we're together.. sighz... cant someone juz put a stop to it?!?!?
much as i dun wan the night to end, but i hv to get home to prepare the resources for my P5 lesson tmr... having observation so cannot play play... moreover he still needs to drive home so i din wan him to go back too late either...
now that i know he has reached home safely n is chatting with me on msn, i guess i can rest my heart n continue to prepare my resources... hehez...

itz been a long time since i last update..
not that i hv nth to update abt, but itz juz the hectic schedule that is wearing me out..
earlier on was loads of nie projz to complete, the days spent rushing out the assignments were NOT at all memorable! lolz..
juz as the assignments got submitted one by one, the BIG giant arrives!
YES! practicum starts... :(
i got posted back to Kranji Primary School again..
i kinda like the school from my last experience, so am quite ok with going back there again for this practicum.
this time round, i got a P2CL1 n P5CL6 class, dun know whether i should b happy or sad..
anyway, my P2 class is supposed to b a GOOD class according to the class ranking.
the first time i "met" them was during my 1st wk's observation. There seemed to b a few"monkeys" n "parrots" in the class. OMG!!!
seemed like trouble will be brewing soon some day..
as for my P5 class, they're supposed to b the last class of the EM2, but technically speaking, more than half of the class is of EM3 calibre coz they opted over to EM2.
comparatively speaking, these kids hv a lower learning ability n most dun seemed to b interested in the chinese lesson.
they are deemed as kinda like the "rotten apples" with low ability.. (not my judgement)
this is another HEADACHE as i'll hv to come up with ways to "tackle" them n get them to LIKE chinese if not LOVE it!!!! hahahahaha...
above is the first impression i hv of my 2 classes (during the 1st wk of observation)
then comes the 2nd wk, when i officially step into the classroom n teach.
my P2 seemed to b still quite obedient during the first few lessons n they seemed to like my teaching, maybe coz i played games with them? i dun know.. heh~
but that few "monkeys" n "parrots" start to "work" after a few days..
hmm.... i muz think of ways to curb them... any one has ideas to share?? :)
my P5s seemed to b quite a easy to handle lot, despite negative remarks i heard abt them.
the specific ones who are pointed out to b the "bad" ones dun seemed to b as "bad" as they were portrayed.. dun know if bcoz i'm still NEW to them or these kids are juz being misunderstood by other teachers.
guess i shall continue to monitor the situation... :)
after these few weeks of lessons with them, i find that my P5s are actually quite a lovable bunch. thou they hv lower learning ability as compared to the rest of the kids, they're still quite active n passionate abt learning. thou it might tk a longer time to explain certain words to them, it still feels rewarding to know that at the end of the day, they truely understand what the words mean n how to use those words to construct sentences.
i'm starting to like my P5 kids more than my P2 kids, thou i had the initial thought that the P2 will be easier to handle but it seems like it might nt be the case... haha...
one CT observation down today, one more to go this thurs.
6 more to go by the end of the week.

much as i'm enjoying my practicum now, i wish that MAY n JUNE will come faster... hehez
