the last few days of T3 is a real rush..
marking of exam scripts, doing item analysis of the papers, writing students' progress report blah blah blah...
after rushing thru the past few days, i'm finally more or less done with my students' grades..
T3 is finally coming to an end..
phew~
today my school is celebrating Teachers' Day @ Mandai Orchid Gardens later on at night..
Theme of the night is FLOWER POWER!!
hopefully i still hv the energy to take photos ltr during the dinner, after a long day of teaching..
have been receiving presents n lotsa cards from my kiddos for the past of this whole week..
my office table is piling up with all their LOVES... haha!

been a wk since i last saw him so u can guess how much i've missed him..
we had a gr8 day out today..
went to town to do some shopping..
we even had a shopping list jotted down in case we missed out anything..hah!
shopped around n managed to get most of the things we wanted to buy.
then it was off to movie time!!
we watched Rush Hour 3 n the whole show is juz super hilarious..
gr8 job by Chris Tucker who got us laughing right from the start of the show til the very end.
recommended show if u're looking for sth to hv a gd laugh n de-stress.
then it was off to give dear hubby a gd treat since he has done so well in his examz..
went to Ajisen for our dinner.. thou simple but definitely filling...
itz juz a SPLENDID day today... woohoo~

1st of all, my baby passed all his modules in his last seating and scored very good grades!!
i'm so happy for him... his hard work n efforts are showing the results & he's nearing to graduation!

next up is my kids' performance in their Written Assessment 2 on Wednesday.
i just got hold of their papers today as we exchanged the papers to mark for fairness, n i'm so glad to announce that i have a boy who scored FULL MARKS!!!! n i hv more than half the class getting 40 and above for the Written Assessment whose total marks is 50.
perhaps u might think "aiyah, P1 only ma, get full marks very easy one."
but that's not the case for my kids.
majority of the children in my class are foreigners and they do not speak chinese at all.
so to them, having to learn chinese is a challenge.
and they're in the 2nd last CL class in school.
when i first took over them in T3, i was told that there were less than 5 kids who passed their SA1.
i was shocked as i do not know what to expect from these kids.
finally after 9wks of being with them, i feel so much closer to them n i can more or less "enter" their world to cater to their learning needs.
thou there is still a few whom i'm still trying to "subdue", i'm glad to say that i hv s gd rapport with my kids.
this is impt for me as these kids r still young, unless u can hv a gd rapport with them, otherwise they'll nt come to u if they hv a problem.
i love my P1 kids! =)
i'm so proud of them!!
and although Teachers' Day is still quite far away, i've already started receiving little gifts from my adorable kiddos.. even from those whom i taught during practicum but not now..
itz juz so sweet of them.. =)
now that i'm officially teaching, the sense of satisfaction i get when i see my kids improving day by day is really beyond words...
*speechless*
the week is going to get even better this coming weekend for i've got a date with my most beloved hubby!!! i juz cant wait for sunday to come!!! =)

headed over to AMK to meet him n we went to Funan IT Mall, reason being that we've finally decided to get the Limited Edition of the Winnie the Pooh laptop! hehez.. after discussing last night, we thought we did not wanna miss out this opportunity.. so there we went...
reached Funan n we went to have Subway breakfast.
the usual ham & egg for him n bacon & egg for me =)
Subway has somehow became our fav choice of breakfast... *thumbs up*
after finishing our breakfast, we went on to buy our laptops..
managed to ask for a little bit of discount since we bought 2 sets of the laptop..
the freebies that came along with the lappie includes a Samsung K3 2Gb mp3 player, a 6Gb Seagate external hard disk, a 3 cell battery, a Disney laptop bag, Disney software and a Disney toy, in which i chose Eeyore.. heh...
we left the place with both our hands full.. n while we were abt to go to the taxi stand to take a cab back to baby's place to put our things, we were stopped by a person to do a survey. we obligied and after finishing the survey, i saw Darren Lim (Lin Ming Lun) there. thou baby said that Tang Yu Shu was there also, but i didnt see him.. only saw Darren Lim super fascinated by what we were carrying.. he asked me what was that n i told him itz a Disney laptop..haha.. the amount of makeup on his face is like 10x of mine.. lolz!!
oh well, we flagged a cab n off we went back to baby's place.
after putting our things we went out again..
this time to Burlington Square to collect our free Samsung mp3 player.
we went to Bugis market for lunch after our collection.
and i was very happy to find the AMK carrot cake there!
so therefore it was a must have n so both of us had carrot cake n sugarcane juice for lunch..
the only pity is that the carrot cake dun taste as gd as b4, but still the meal was very filling..
left Bugis n we went to Marina Square as baby wanted to watch Bourne Ultimatum.
the tickets for this show were running out super fast and so in the end we only managed to get a seat at the 2nd row from the front..
we had to lift up our heads to watch the whole show..
thou i nv watch the 1st 2 parts of the series, still itz quite an interesting show.. nice! =)
after movie, we knew that we had to quickly leave town area to avoid the BIG crowd that's heading to Marina Waterfront to watch the fireworks..
took a train back to AMK and the train looked strangely empty..haha!
went back to AMK hub for dinner.
after which we strolled back to baby's place..
rested awhile, cuddled, hugged, watched soccer for awhile b4 taking a cab to go home..
that's the end of a day with lotsa damage.. =p

thought i'll still be on standby like yday but no, i was down for duty, to replace one of the teachers who's on MC.
was scheduled to take the malay pupils for the oral.
basically my job is to be a timekeeper n making sure the students are quiet while in the waiting room.
itz a nice experience on the whole, juz that it got a little boring on the way, especially with the heavy downpour in the morning, it juz makes me feel extra sleepy.. kekez!
time flew by quickly n we were let off earlier than yday..
so happy! coz that means i can go n meet my baby earlier..
b4 i left my office, a colleague mentioned that he juz bought a limited edition Winnie the Pooh laptop!! i was like OMG!! really got Winnie the Pooh laptop meh?
he told me that he got his @ Funan IT mall n i was like so qiao ah? reason being i'll be going somewhere there with my baby later on..
quickly took a train to AMK to meet my baby n we went to S11 to have lunch together.
the usual Qiu Lian Ban Mian, ice lemon tea n barley made us so full.. =)
after a gd lunch, we took a train to City Hall as i arranged to meet Chi Song there to collect Baby's Man Utd Jersey from him..
Reached City Hall and took the jersey from him.. itz the Man Utd New Season Jersey n it looks really quite nice on my Baby.. thanks to Chi Song for getting such a gd lobang for me =)
After getting the jersey, Baby n i went to Funan IT Mall to walk walk.. n indeed i saw the Winnie the Pooh laptop.. itz really damn chio n cute, plus itz super portable.. i juz couldnt take my eyes off it..
As Baby is also on the lookout for a new laptop, we went around the whole mall to see if we could find anything that is suitable.. perhaps i already somehow set my eyes on the Winnie the Pooh Lenovo Y200 laptop, somehow or another, the rest of the laptops juz dun seemed as gd..
we left Funan with pondering minds n itchy hearts... =p
then we headed to Penisular Plaza to find my Man Utd Women's Jersey..
As recommended by Chi Song, we went to Weston to find n i was so happy to find my size there!! yipee!! i finally got my 1st Man Utd jersey, after being a fan for so long.. n the best part of it is that Baby's buying it for me!!! double yeah!! hehz!!
next we headed towards Esplanade as we were going to Marina Waterfront to watch fireworks displayed by Team Spain!! it was still drizzling when we were making our way there so it was a little mood dampening..
we reached there very early n there were not much ppl in sight.. so we went ard to look for our seats n oh my! itz super far up lor.. we had to climb up dun know how many dozens flights of steps in order to reach our seats.. so i was practically panting when we reached our seats..
since there was not much things to do then, so it was cam whoring time.. =p

soon, the night starts to turn dark, the rain stopped n ppl came flooding in..
slowly, more n more of my colleagues appeared since it was like a school invitation, we all got our tickets thru school..
after waiting for abt 3hrs+, it was finally SHOWTIME!!
the whole show lasted for abt half an hr, including the light show, which i feel is quite meaningless.. haha!

hung out @ Swensens for some finger food n catch up session..
i had a good time catching up with them, finding out how we're all doing in our new schools, new environment.. thou it does nt really apply to me, but still life in kranji is so different without these khakis...
it juz feels so gr8 to gather with them once again..
juz like during practicum days, where we always hang ard the school canteen to makan n gossip..
such chances r very rare now as we're all now teaching in different schools, with the exception of Shere, who's back in NIE for his BA.
i really miss those days back during practicum with this grp of frenz..
our ties r juz so strong that it actually amazes some teachers..
i know that if we make the efforts, the four of us can still go on a long long way...
thank you nala, for organising this gathering..
let's juz hope that there're more of such gatherings to come.. =)

coz i spent the entire day with my baby.. yipeE~ =)
together, we went to Bishan Swimming Pool to suntan n to swim..
the weather today is quite gd, less than an hr under the sun, my bikini tan line already formed..
my whole body was scrouching hot by then n so we went to get a dip into the pool..
first feeling when i got into the pool.. "SONG" ah!!
hahaha..
the cool water lowered down my body temp n the feeling is juz damn gd..
baby n i had a gr8 time in the waters...
then it was off to have lunch, whereby we ate Subway..
had da-bao-ed it b4 we went to the pool earlier n after bathing, we went to the opposite stadium n sat down there to hv our lunch..
itz my 1st time sitting down @ an empty stadium, eating sth.. so i feel that itz kinda special.. kekez! =p
after finishing our lunch, we walked to J8 n we went ard to find our Man Utd Jerseys..
only managed to find the Men's sizing but nt the Women's sizing... so sadz.. =(
tell me, tell me where can i find it!!??!?!
then we went on to Watsons where i bought my personal stuffs n a new eyebrow pencil since mine is finishing soon..
n finally itz to our fav hangout @ AMK HUB... yes! NTUC!! hahahaa!!!
as usual, the 1st part of NTUC that we'll always go to is... the STATIONARY section..
hahahaha... n i bought a ring file n a basket for my office.
after paying for my items, we went back to baby's place as we were both feeling a little tired..
we spent some quiet moments together n slept for a while b4 going out to S11 for dinner..
had the famous "Qiu Lian Ban Mian" @ S11 n the nice nice homemade ice lemon tea..
it was a super filling dinner.. satisfied! hehe =)
walked ard AMK Central a while b4 going back to baby's place to get my things n i'm off back home.. took a cab back n i felt that i've almost been to hell n back..
the cabbie looks like he's either in a drunken or sleeping mode for he kept swerving the vehicle from side to side n he kept going to other ppl's lane as in he positioned the vehicle in the middle of 2 lanes, on the dotted lines..
when we were at one of the traffic lights, along Lornie Road, almost reaching PIE(Tuas), the cabbie almost crashed into one car.. itz juz damn scary la..
i crossed my fingers n prayed that i'll get home in one piece.. luckily baby accompanied me by talking to me on my hp thruout the journey, otherwise i tell u i'm juz going to freak out lor..
thank god i reached home safely in one piece n when i paid for my cab fee with a $50 note, the cabbie says he doesnt hv change n wants me to pay thru NETS instead.. i mean i'd hv gladly done so if there're no additional charges but NO! there's a svc charge of $0.30!!
perhaps i'm "niao" or wad la, but i juz feel that itz like the responsibility of cabbies to have enuf change with them n not get the passengers to pay the extra svc charge of using NETS!
duhz~ guess this is the only spoiler of the day.. other than that, itz a GOOD day! =)

thus, it means that today's juz gonna b a short day in school, without any teaching @ all... haha!
reached sch @ 6.45am today..
really damn early la, for me at least since i teach the pm session.. duhz~
was told to take charge of 3C1 today, so had to stay with them throughout the whole celebrations..
the usual sing-along sessions, tshirt design fashion parade were part of the concert performance..
initially i still haven really gotten into the mood for the sing slong session thou i had to try to engage my class in joining in the singing.. until the very familiar song "Home" & "We are Singapore" were played...
i guess some how or another, i still prefer the "oldies" of the National Day songs.. made me think abt my pri & sec sch days.. memorable indeed :)
left school n headed for Lot1 to buy the "surprise" for my baby..
but somehow i reached too early.. the record shops were not opened yet, so walked ard abit whilst waiting for them to open, n finally one of them opened n i immediately went into the shop n bought the cd.. time's precious coz i'm meeting my baby n i dun wish to be late..
quickly rushed home to take a shower after getting the "surprise" n headed to meet my baby..
i'm juz so elated to see my baby today..
simply miss him soooooooo much! :)
we headed to cineleisure as we wanted to catch a movie..
checked the timings n decided to watch "Knocked Up".
din really know what the show will be abt but since itz a romance/comedy show, we decided to get some relaxing n laughing moments out of the show..
after getting our tix, we went to hv lunch as the show will nt start in another 3+hrs' time..
walked ard cineleisure n settled on dining @ Hip Diner USA, a fellow restaurant by Billy Bombers.
we ordered Jumbo Combo as appetizer which consists of mexican wings, nachos, baked mussels with cheese n baked potato skins topped with cheese.
as for our main course, baby ordered a Fish & Chips while i ordered a Mixed Grill which consists of a sunny side up, grilled dory fish, chicken fillet, turkey bacon n a black pepper sausage.
as both of us were too hungry, we forget to take pictures of the above dishes.. heh
all in all, it was a nice lunch :)
then we went to walk ard orchard in search of our Man Utd jerseys for the new season.. initially we wanted to go to Man Utd Cafe to buy the jerseys but realised that it was already closed down together with Devils' Bar..
this is what happen to ppl who dun "chiong".. we'll nv b updated with such info..haha!
so we headed back to Lucky Plaza n found a shop that is selling the jerseys.. but too bad, we only saw the guy's sizing.. after checking out with the shop owner, he says that we hv to make an order if we want to hv the lady's sizing as SG does nt bring in lady's size...
baby n i decided to wait a while more n source out other places b4 cfming if we want to order from him.. heh..
any one has lobangs?? =)
time flew by very fast n we went for our movie..
personally i feel that the movie is quite nice.. thou there're some nudity n lotsa crude remarks made (itz a M18 show btw =)), baby n i still managed to have our fair share of laughter..
once again, while watching the movie, the maternal instincts within me surfaced again.. seeing @ how the whole story revolve from a ONS,i feel that itz really courageous for the mum to take up the responsibilty to keep the child.
the filming of the giving birth process is so real that i could feel the pain inside me.. keke..
all in all, i enjoyed the show alot.. :)
after our movie, baby brought me to the famous Honjin Restaurant @ Tanjong Pagar for dinner..i finally get to go to this place after hearing it for so long.. haha!
thank u baby for bringing me there, despite the hefty cost of the dishes there.. =)
this time round, we rmb to take fotos.. haha.. so i shall let the fotos do the talking..

woke up ard 1030 this morning n shortly after breakfast n abit of nuaing here n there, we left home to bring my sis for her dental appt..
then it was off to lunch n the library..
shopped ard BPP awhile n that's when i stepped into a shop called M3 Shoes.
saw a pair of rather pretty wedges so i tried them on.
surprisingly it fits nicely n mum also said it looks pretty so somehow w/o much hesitation i decided to buy it.
thou the shop assistant's attitude was quite bad when attending to me, i still bought it.
it costs $29.90.
initially i thot i had a gd lobang, until i went into another shop which is 2 shops away from M3 Shoes, I SAW THE EXACT PAIR OF WEDGES N IT WAS ONLY PRICED @ $23!!!!!!
that was when my blood started boiling knowing that i juz kena "tok cai tao" by the stupid M3 Shoes!! wtf!! itz a almost $7 difference lor!!!
damn angry!!! n heart pain @ the same time lor..
i swear i'm NOT going to patronise that shop anymore!
FYI, this blood sucker shop is located @ Bukit Panjang Plaza, 2nd floor, near the escalator.. M3 Shoes..think twice b4 u wanna step into this shop!
on a lighter note, i met my ex employer @ the child care centre @ the food court today... chatted with her for a while n she brought up the issue of wanting to re-employ me to help out in conducting some classes for the kids.
her offer sounds quite tempting, n it probably wun take up too much of my time, at most juz sacrifice abit of sleeping time.
for the sake of more $ in the pocket, i guess such a small sacrifice should somehow be worth it..
i haven given her a reply yet, still thinking thru n weighing the pros n cons..hmmz..

itz now T3W6 in the academic school calander, very soon, CA2 is coming n so is the Sep hols..
things have been getting more n more hectic n tight as time passes, juz this week alone, there are so much activities happening in the school, 1st up is my 1st time experience in the P1 registration for the 2008 intake, which is the SNAKE babies..
i muz say itz really an eye opener experience for me as well as an unforgettable experience as i got to face SPECIAL cases (which happen to be complicated as well) when i did my duty for the P1 registration..
learnt quite abit from that day's experience, as well as have a prelude on the coming SNAKE babies nxt year.. i'm crossing my fingers that those hyper ones that came for the registration will not be in my class nxt yr.. hahah!!
following the P1 registration is the planning of tuning in activities for the lower primary in conjunction with National Day'07..
i was appointed to be the i/c for this event.
thus i had to come up with activities for the lower pri students so as to engage them in NE.
after sourcing round the internet, finally managed to find relevant pics for the kids to do some colouring, cutting, pasting n designing to make their own head-gears which are to b worn on National Day's eve, where we'll have the celebrations in school.. hopefully i'll b able to take some pics of the kids wearing their masterpieces on the actual day... :)
the next upcoming event after National Day will be Mooncake Festival, out of which i was again pulled in to b part of this special committee to take charge of the planning of the celebrations.
VP juz gave the approval 2days back n i was already appointed to do up the NE corner of the school compound in relation to Mooncake Festival as well as to lead the Sing-Along session on the actual day of celebrations...
OMG!! i'll surely hv stage fright that day one lor, somemore there'll b parents coming in to join the celebrations.. double OMG!!!!
also, i've been bz preparing the resources to aid my p1 n p2 in learning chinese thru some form of games... these few days, i've been seen in the staff room during my free period with a scissors in one hand n the other either holding a fish or an apple..
cut, cut, cut non stop.. the whole process of preparing such resources is indeed very tiring..
what i'm hoping now is that whatever i'm coming up with can at least help my LA students to be more interested in chinese as well as to aid them in learning chinese.
if everything goes well n there're no hiccups on the way, i should be able to try out the games with my kids the week after National Day..
cant wait to see what r their responses like... heh..
so sorry that so much things are on the boring work..
on a happier note, i finally get to see my baby after so many days n i'm really juz so happy!!
feel so blissful as baby came today to have lunch with me, then send me to school for work n later on picked me up from work again to have dinner together..
such feelings is juz beyond words n i'm juz so touched!
a pity is always that happy times always pass by so fast..
saying goodbye is always so hard.
not that we will not get to see each other again but juz that even a minute's seperation makes me miss him so much...
gosh! i'm sounding kinda sticky aint i?
but what to do.. who can resist such a SWEET darling like mine? ;)
